...Painting like a latter-day, Day-Gio Francis Bacon, Kostis Georgiou's portrayal of a featureless face suggests an identity or existential crisis in Persona I (2004). Using palette knives and thick paint, Georgiou seems to have tried to quickly capture himself on canvas, before he changed or disappeared.
